The rating is based on user ratings on Google Play and the App Store. The overall score is the average of the two stores weighted by the number of ratings; an app listed in one store uses that store’s rating.
For banks, apps for individuals are counted. Apps with fewer than 30 ratings are not compared: a few votes give a random “5.0” — they are shown separately.
Reference information, not a recommendation: store ratings reflect user opinion, not the reliability of a bank or insurance company.
